A set of common data types not specific to the Flight domain comprising: 
- basic integer and string types 
- measures types 
- ranges and choices 
- types qualifying aeronautical information that are required by the Flight domain. 
         
These types are mostly derived - or based on - existing ISO and AIXM 5.1 constructs. 
The content of this package is reused by both the FIXM Flight and Messaging packages, 
as appropriate.
