The attached FIXM v2.0 Data Dictionary, "FIXM_Core_v2_0_Data_Dictionary.pdf", serves as a catalogue of flight data elements (FDEs) that are expected to be exchanged using the FIXM standard. It provides a definition for those FDEs, as well as alternate names that reflect various nomenclatures across systems and domains, relationships among FDEs, data types, value ranges (where applicable), business rules associated with the individual use of each FDE, and references to authoritative documents where the FDEs can be found. This document is complementary to the other FIXM artifacts such as the FIXM models and the FIXM schemas.
These two spreadsheets provide additional information about FIXM v2.0 Core Logical Model. "FIXM_Core_v2_0_Analysis.csv" contains information about objects and classes and "FIXM_Core_v2_0_Synchronization.csv" directly links the FIXM Logical Model to the FIXM Data Dictionary. These documents provide a mechanism for searching, summarizing, mapping, and otherwise analyzing the model that is just not available using Enterprise Architect or XSD-based tools.
The attached Logical Model "FIXM_Core_v2_0_Logical_Model.eap" describes the structure, content, and format of FIXM v2.0 Core represented as a Universal Modelling Language (UML) model. The attached document "FIXM_Core_v2_0_Logical_Model_Diagrams.pdf" contains images of the various classes contained in the UML files. Please note the Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect Viewer is required to view the UML model, which can be downloaded from http://www.sparxsystems.com.
The attached document, "FIXM_Core_v2_0_Modeller_Manual.pdf", specifies the procedures and best practices used to produce FIXM logical models. It is required that all logical models sponsored by the FIXM organization comply with these practices, to ensure that the models are complete, correct, and efficient. It is strongly suggested that all extension data models adhere to these best practices, to ensure proper interoperation with the FIXM core models.
